Civil, Architectural and Environmental Clubs and Organizations
Within CEAE, there are many听engineering-related organizations where you can connect with fellow听students, have fun听and develop听as an engineer.
The AEI Chapter is the leading听student organization dedicated to understanding and advancing the architecture, engineering听and construction (AEC) profession. We offer听networking, design competitions and听learning experiences within the AEC community. Join us at our events to network, connect听with fellow听students听and to expand your industry knowledge.

AGC 鈥� Associated General Contractors
As a student chapter, we aim听to advance听the construction industry through听education, service听and networking. To keep our members informed about听industry developments, we host听construction professionals at our听weekly meetings.听They听present on specific projects and听share insights about听their companies.

Bridge Buffs is the CU chapter of Engineers in Action, a national NGO听that designs and builds pedestrian footbridges in Eswatini and Bolivia. Engineers in Action is a nonprofit dedicated to reducing poverty caused听by rural isolation by constructing听pedestrian bridges over impassable rivers in communities that otherwise could not听afford them. We offer opportunities to grow in your design, leadership, AutoCAD, communication, fundraising and general engineering skills while helping communities in developing countries.

The CU EERI student chapter organizes听talks on campus and provides guidance to听the undergraduate design team. The undergraduate design team听competes annually in the Seismic Design Competition at the EERI meeting. This听competition includes designing and constructing a roughly four-foot-tall basal wood structure, which is then tested on a shake table against other teams from around the world.听听

EWB鈥檚 mission is to partner with low-resource听communities to improve their quality of life through environmentally sustainable, equitable听and economical engineering projects. We promote the development of globally aware and responsible students and professionals. Our chapter was the first chapter of EWB-USA, and we are currently engaged in projects in Ecuador, Rwanda, Nepal and the USA.听

The Geo-Institute of ASCE Colorado Graduate Student Organization (GSO) is no longer active. If you are interested in reviving this group, please contact Yida Zhang. Previously, the organization aimed to expand knowledge in geotechnical topics, conduct outreach amongst undergraduate and听K-12 students听and engage with听the local community. Additionally, it collaborated with faculty, staff听and engineering groups on campus to enhance the engineering experience for students.
IES 鈥� Illuminating Engineering Society听
The CU IES Chapter is a community committed to inspiring those interested in architectural lighting by providing tools for career success and building a shared knowledge base, while promoting engagement with industry professionals and each other.

SEVEN - Society of Environmental Engineers
SEVEN, a branch of the environmental engineering (EVEN) program, serves as a听resource for engineering students to connect and explore applications of environmental engineering. The U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon Build Challenge is a collegiate competition to design, build听and operate a sustainable house. It consists of 10听individual contests related to architecture, engineering, sustainability, marketability听and operating performance of the house, and educating听and inspiring the public about sustainable living. Participation provides hands-on, interdisciplinary experience and prepares students听to enter the clean energy workforce.
